ABOUT THE STEUBEN COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE

The Habitat ReStore in Corning accepts donations of new and like-new furniture, household goods, appliances, and building supplies and sells those donations to the community to raise funds for Steuben County Habitat.

Why shop at the ReStore?

Helps build homes: Every dollar we make goes to support Steuben County Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope locally. When you buy furniture, household goods, appliances, and building supplies at the ReStore, we’re able to do more to help deserving families.

Save money: The ReStore sells new and like-new goods at a fraction of retail prices. You can save up to 75% off of comparable goods when you shop at the ReStore.

Reduce waste: Rather than throwing out perfectly good items, you can donate it to the ReStore. Last year the ReStore kept an estimated 327 tons of materials out of local landfills. Plus we can take leftover materials from construction projects and further reduce waste (some limitations apply).

Find unique items: We always say, “you never know what you’ll find at the ReStore!” We have a great selection of antiques, collectibles, hard-to-find items, and much, much more.

Donate to the ReStore

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts donations of new and like-new household goods, construction materials, tools, appliances, furniture, and kitchenware. Every donation you make helps us raise funds in support of Steuben County Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

Donations can be dropped off at our location during regular business hours – Wednesday-Saturday, 9AM to 5PM. For larger items such as furniture and appliances, we offer a free donation pick-up service Wednesday-Saturday. Please call 607-377-5524 to schedule an appointment.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept certain items which will burden us with disposal costs, or are prohibited donations according to federal, state, or local regulations. Our pick-up driver and intake manager always have the final right of refusal for any items.

We thank you for your donations. Every item we receive goes toward building homes, community, and hope right here in Steuben County.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept all donations. Below is an up-to-date list of items we cannot accept (click to enlarge):
